E asy fun fold birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Basic White Thick Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 2", 3-1/8", 5-3/8", and 6-1/2"
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" of lines of pale green pine trees on darker green background design from A Walk In The Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines of trees are vertical on the vertical rectangles
- 2" x 5-1/4" of white snowflakes on blue background design from A Walk In The Forest 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/2" square from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 3" square from Garden Green Cardstock
- 3" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/4" from Balmy Blue Cardstock
- 1" square from Balmy Blue Cardstock
Fold the Basic White Thick card as follows:
- 2" score line valley fold
- 3-1/8" score line mountain fold
- 5-3/8" score line mountain fold
- 6-1/2" score line valley fold
Adhere the two strips of green trees A Walk In The Forest Designer Paper to the two outer panels of the card front.
Adhere the blue snowflakes A Walk In The Forest Designer Paper to the center panel of the card front.
Pick out the circle die from the Deckled Circles Dies that cuts out a 3-1/4" circle. Put it on top of the large Balmy Blue square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Pick out the circle die from the Deckled Circles Dies that cuts out a 2-3/4" circle. Put it on top of the Garden Green square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the green circle cut out to the center of the blue circle cut out.
Use strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive down the vertical center of the back of the matted circles to adhere the circles to the center panel of the card front so they are about 1/2" from the top. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the score lines of the center panel or your card won't open.
Mount the flying owl image from the Winter Owls Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Pecan Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the matching flying owl die from the Winter Owls Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the flying owl cut out to the center of the matted circles on the card front as shown.
As you are ready to stamp using the Just My Type Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the small envelope image from the Just My Type Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small blue square.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the envelope image by hand.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the envelope cut out to the front of the card so it appears to be being carried in the owl's beak as shown.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin blue strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the end.
Mount the "sending birthday wishes" sentiment from the Wildlife Wonder Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched blue strip.
Use a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive down the horizontal center of the back of the sentiment strip to adhere it to the center panel of the card front so it is about 1/2" from the bottom. Make sure NO adhesive goes over the score lines of the center panel or your card won't open.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Balmy Blue 3/8" Sparkle Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the center panel of the card as shown so it is centered over the bottom of the matted circles.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 Lost Lagoon gems from the sheet of Faceted Gems Trio Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
