F un cards using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and masking paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Shy Shamrock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" of rows of tiny white circles on background design from 2024-2026 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper (I used all 5 colors)
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Shy Shamrock Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 3-3/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Stampin' Up!™ Masking Paper
Mount the Leaf Collection stamp on Block F. Leave the stamp rubber side up on your work surface and press the open Shy Shamrock Pad all over it.
Leave the stamp inky rubber side up on your work surface. Carefully place the large Basic White rectangle on top of the inky stamp so it is centered. Place a piece of Grid Paper on top of the cardstock/inky rubber and rub firmly all over. Remove the Grid Paper and the inked up cardstock rectangle.
Adhere the thin strip of 2024-2026 In Color Designer Paper to the left side of the stamped white rectangle so the top, bottom, and left edges are even.
Cut a 5-3/4" piece of the white ribbon included in the Petal Pink & White 1/4" Diagonal Trim Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the designer paper and stamped cardstock. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Shy Shamrock card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Planted Paradise Set or Wonderful Thoughts Set, place the cardstock or masking paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, circular pot image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block C so the detailed side is face up and is what you will stamp with. Ink it up with the Copper Clay Ink Pad. Stamp it on the bottom of the remaining vertical white rectangle so it is centered side to side. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the large, circular pot image on Block C with the Copper Clay Ink Pad. Stamp it on the masking paper rectangle.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the masking paper pot by hand slightly inside the stamped image.
Carefully place the masking paper pot over the stamped pot on the white rectangle.
Mount the set of three leaves together image from the Planted Paradise Set on Block B so the detailed side is face up and is what you will stamp with. Ink it up with the Shy Shamrock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle so it is centered over the pot and the bottom just overlaps the top of the pot a bit.
Remove the mask.
Tip: Save the mask by putting it in the stamp case so you can use it again on future projects.
Mount the "hello" sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts Set on Block B. Ink it up with the same color ink pad as the designer paper strip you used (I used Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, Summer Splash, and Petunia Pop). Unless you are using a Shy Shamrock strip of designer paper and then you might want to use the Pretty In Pink Ink Pad instead. Stamp the sentiment at the top of the white rectangle so it is centered over the plant in the pot.
Tip: If you are making multiple cards using different colors, be sure to clean the stamp between colors using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and Stampin' Scrub.
Use the same color Stampin' Write Marker as the color of the designer paper strip you used to carefully color in the flower outlines in the center of the pot using the fine-tip. Unless you are using a Shy Shamrock strip of designer paper and then you might want to use the Pretty In Pink Marker instead.
Use the Shy Shamrock Stampin' Write Marker to carefully color in the dots in the center of the pot using the fine-tip.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Shy Shamrock rectangle.
Adhere the matted white rectangle to the front of the card as shown.
Cut a 3" piece of the white ribbon included in the Petal Pink & White 1/4" Diagonal Trim Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card as shown so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card front at a slight angle just below the matted main image rectangle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 4 small dots in the same color as the strip of designer paper you used from a sheet of 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown so they are centered inside the centers of the flowers on the pot.
