H ave you made a Fracture card yet? I used Winter Meadow to make my card. At my team meeting today, Karen (SutherCreations) showed us how to make this card. Now I am showing you, I think you will be surprised how easy it is to make.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Lost Lagoon 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Winter Meadow paper 4 X 5 ¼.
Card Front: Cut Snowflake Magic paper 2 X 2. Cut 4 strips of Lost Lagoon ¼ X 4 (this is longer than you will need, but I found it easier to work with the longer strips.
Attach the 2X2 square of Snowflake Magic on your card front.
Line up one of your ¼ X 4 pieces of Lost Lagoon against the top of the 2X2 piece and attach.
Continue to glue strips around the square on your card front.
Trim the Lost Lagoon strips even with the edges of the card front.
Use the Stylish Shapes die to cut a 1 ⅝ circle from Basic White. Stamp snowflake 2nd generation (this means stamp snowflake on scrap paper to get excess ink off stamp, then stamp the circle with snowflake WITHOUT reinking your stamp). Stamp sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink over the snowflake on the white circle. Attach circle to 2X2 square with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Attach the card front to the Lost Lagoon card base. Add 3 Faceted Gems.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment with Lost Lagoon ink before attaching this piece inside your card.
Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
