Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of small white, yellow, and brown flowers on red background from Tea Boutique 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/8" x 3-3/8" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Basic White Cardstock
Put the Crushed Curry rectangle into the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Cut an 8" piece of the Sweet Sorbet twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack.
Fold the twine into thirds. Lay the folded twine across the bottom of the vertical designer paper strip so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom edge. Fold the ends of the twine over and secure the twine in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper strip. Adhere the designer paper strip to the dry embossed Crushed Curry rectangle so the top and bottom edges are even and it is about 3/4" from the left edge.
Adhere the dry embossed Crushed Curry rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Sweet Sorbet card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Hello Ladybug Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "greatest wish" sentiment from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it on the upper left side of the horizontal white rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the top and left edges.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Crumb Cake rectangle.
Adhere the matted white rectangle to the front of the card so it is just above the folded twine and overlaps the right side of the designer paper as shown. The top edge should be about 3/4" from the top edge of the card and the right edge should be about 3/4" from the right edge of the card.
Mount the flying ladybug body image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left edge of the white square so the head is pointing down.
Unlock the Ladybug Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug body into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Save both pieces. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the open ladybug wings image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right edge of the previously punched white square so the tips of the wings are pointing to the left.
Holding the unlocked Ladybug Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped ladybug open wings into the punch and get them centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Mount the sets of wing dots image from the Hello Ladybug Set on Block C. Ink them up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp them inside the open dots on the punched out open wings image.
Adhere the lady bug body punch out to the right side of the white rectangle at a slight angle as shown.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the punched out wings to the ladybug body.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large Sweet Sorbet sequin from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the front of the card in the lower right corner.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small white sequin from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the large Sweet Sorbet sequin on the card front.
Cut a 9" piece of the Sweet Sorbet twine from the 2022-2024 In Color Baker's Twine Pack.
Slide one end of the twine under the twine already on the card near the bottom left corner of the matted white rectangle. Tie the twine in place using a small bow. Trim the ends.
