T his is a fun fold card with a pop out mechanism. I used the So Very Merry stamp set, White Core specialty paper and Scalloped Contour dies to create this card.
Project Recipe
Card dimensions:
A5 card base, scored at 10.5cm and 5.25cm.
DSP 10cm x 14.3cm x 1 piece
White Core Specialty paper: 4.7cm x 14.3cm x 2 pieces
Mechanism: 7.6cm x 5.7cm - scored at 1.9cm, 3.8cm, 5.7cm.
Scallop Contour die cuts in Basic White and coordinating coloured card stock.
Attach 10cm x 14.3cm DSP to back of card base.
Dry emboss using embossing folder of your choice the 2 pieces of White Core Specialty paper.
Carefully sand the embossed specialty paper with a sanding block.
Attach the 2 panels to the card base.
Mechanism piece. score on all score lines and fold it in to meet the middle score line.
Attach tear n tape to the to edge scored panels
centre it up on the card base centre score line and attach it to the card base.
Stamp your sentiment on the larger white scallop contour die.
apply tear n tape to the mechanism side that is facing up and carefully attach your scallop contour die, making sure there is a teeny tiny gap from the card base on the mechanism.
On your smaller Basic White scallop contour die stamp another sentiment and image of choice.
Colour the image using Stampin blends.
Attach the the smaller white scallop contour die to the larger contrast cardstock scallop contour die.
Lining up the 2 larger scallop contour dies attach the top one using tear n tape to the top fold of the card front.
Embellish as desired with ribbon and pearls.
