H ere is a fun-fold card that kind of combines two card styles into one. It looks like a notecard/gift enclosure card is on the inside of an angle cut front card. Unique layout but very do-able for all crafters. Gear your card to your recipient and just vary the patterned paper (aka...designer series paper...DSP), sentiments, and focal point.
Project Recipe
Cut and Score paper as follows:
~Cardstock color #1 for a card base- 4 1/4"x11", score at 5 1/2". This will have the scored edge on the left with a horizontal orientation. On the front of the card, cut from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. Cut the front layer only.
~Cardstock color #2- for inner small card- 3 1/2" x 7", scored at 3 1/2"
~Designer Series paper pattern #1- for front of card. Choose pattern and cut 4"x51/4". Cut this piece on diagonal from upper left corner down to lower right corner to match the angle of card front.
~Designer Series paper pattern #2- for inside of card on back of base layer. This will show from the front. You may want a more muted, subtle pattern.
~Designer Series paper pattern #3- for the front of the smaller inner card- 3 1/4" square. Cut so it has a focal point, if desired. Could use embossed paper.
~Basic White- 3 1/4" square for inside small card. Sentiment and personal message can go here.
Adhere diagonally cut DSP to card front with adhesive of choice.
Adhere inside DSP to inside, back of card base.
Use bone folder and crease both card bases.
On basic white for inside of smaller card, stamp sentiment and adhere some dsp to decorate or stamp a coordinating image.
Adhere this white to inside of the small square card stock piece.
Glue this small card to the inside of larger card base. Put strong adhesive on the back of this card and center on larger card base on inside. The front flap of smaller card will go over the diagonal front of main card.
Stamp any focal points for decorating small square card front.
Stamp sentiment on coordinating paper strip and trim as desired.
Adhere these elements to small card front. Add any ribbon or sequins to decorate.
