A quick and easy gift card holder that is very versatile. Make some to have on hand for various holidays and celebrations. They are also great to give out as RAK cards (Random Act of Kindness). Make someone's day.
Project Recipe
Cut paper as follows:
~Piece "A"- Merry Merlot cardstock- 3" x 11". With long side up score it at 3 5/8" and 7 1/4". Trim off 1/8" on each short end.
Piece "B"-have a scrap at least 2 1/2" x 2" to for punch
~Piece "C"- Daffodil Delight cardstock- 2 3/4" x 3 3/8" for inside top panel.
Piece "D"- 3/4" x 3" for a sentiment strip on front
~ Piece "E" and "F"-Gold Festive Foil DSP- 2 panels that are 2 3/4" x 3 3/8".
Piece "G"- A scrap 2 1/2" x 2" for punch
Stamp images and sentiments-
~On "E"- stamp focal point wheat image with Early Espresso ink.
~On "G"- stamp sentiment "Simply thankful for all you do", horizontally, with Early Espresso ink.
~Stamp in early espresso onto "D" of Daffodil Delight the sentiment "My heart is filled with gratitude".
~ On "C" stamp the scattered dots diagonally in Daffodil Delight ink.
~Crease scores on "A" with bone folder. With one of the 3" ends up, fold up bottom panel. Make sure it doesn't bind. If it does, trim a little off of the end.
~Adhere "F" onto the flap that is folded up.
~Punch in center of this panel (or wherever you want the opening for the gift card) with "Lasting Label" punch.
~Adhere "E" onto the front of "A".
~Tie gold ribbon around front panel with knot or bow (whichever you prefer) on portion of wheat stamped image that is gathered.
~Put dimensionals onto back of front sentiment piece. Adhere onto front under bow.
~Punch out shapes from the gold scrap and merry merlot scrap using Lasting label punch.
~Stamp "Simply Thankful for all you do" in Early Espresso
~Cut merry merlot shape in half horizontally. Adhere onto back of gold Simply Thankful shape leaving a small border on top and bottom.
~Adhere "C" onto inside top portion of "A".
~Adhere stamped shape to inside top over gold ribbon.
~Adhere gems onto front as desired
