Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Petal Pink Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3" x 5-1/4" of mutlicolored stripes on white background design from Friendly Hello 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" from Shaded Spruce Cardstock
- 2-5/8" x 5-1/4" of tiny, light multicolored dots on white background design from Friendly Hello 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Pool Party Cardstock
- small scraps of Petal Pink Cardstock
Mount the grouping of butterflies image from the Catching Butterflies Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it down the right edge of the front of the Petal Pink card. Make sure to have some Grid Paper under the card to protect your work surface. Let some of the images go off the top, bottom, and right edges. Change the orientation of the stamp a little each time. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the grouping of butterflies image on Block C using the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it all over the vertical piece of dotted Friendly Hello Designer Paper remembering to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges and change the orientation a bit each time you stamp. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the grouping of butterflies image on Block C using the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it on scraps of Petal Pink cardstock so you get three of the larger butterflies. Set the stamped scraps aside for now.
Adhere the stamped dotted designer paper rectangle to the center of the Shaded Spruce rectangle so the top and bottom edges are even.
Adhere the matted, stamped dotted designer paper rectangle to the center of the striped designer paper rectangle so the top and bottom edges are even.
Cut 2 pieces each 3-1/2" of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Put the ribbon pieces on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. Use the brush tip of the Dark Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color the ribbon pieces on both sides.
Lay one piece of the colored ribbon across the matted and stamped designer paper rectangle about 2" from the top. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the ribbon in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the stamped Petal Pink card so it is evenly spaced along the top, bottom, and left edges.
Mount the "collecting sweet thoughts of you" or the "celebrate every beautiful thing" sentiment from the Catching Butterflies Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Shaded Spruce Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pool Party square.
Pick out the smaller filigree edged rectangle die from the Ornate Frames Dies. Put it on top of the stamped stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon and the right side of the matted designer paper rectangle.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the three larger butterflies stamped on the Petal Pink scraps by hand. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
Use a half knot to tie the remaining piece of colored ribbon to the ribbon already on the card front so it is centered between the left edge of the matted designer paper and the left edge of the sentiment cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel 5 small jewels from the sheet of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front,
