Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of white splatters on light purple background design from Friendly Hello 12" x 12" Design Series Paper
- 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the swirl image from the Calming Camellia Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the left side of the horizontal Friendly Hello Designer Paper rectangle as shown so they overlap a bit and are about 1/4" from the left side and about 1/2" from the top. Stamp it again on the designer paper so the bottom swirl is about 1/8" from the bottom edge and the swirls are about 1-1/4" from the right edge. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Adhere the stamped designer paper rectangle to the center of the Soft Sea Foam rectangle and then to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
Mount the large camellia flowers bunch image from the Calming Camellia Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Place the inked up stamp on your work surface rubber side up.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Fresh Freesia Ink Pad to get it inky. Daub color onto the flowers on the inked up stamp. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: Look at the sample card or the image on the front of the stamp case to get an idea of where the flowers are on the stamp (just remember they are a mirror image).
Breathe on the stamp to re-moisten the ink with your breath. Stamp it on the large, horizontal white rectangle in the center.
Tip: If making multiple cards, remember to clean the stamp each time using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy or you will contaminate your Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad.
Pick out the scalloped, stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-1/2" x 3-5/8" from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Put it on top of the stamped flowers rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the flowers are centered. You will be cutting off the top and bottom edges. Run through the machine.
Adhere the flowers rectangle cut out to the front of the horizontal card in the upper right corner so it is about 1/2" from the top and right edges.
Pick out the sentiment of choice from the Calming Camellia or Friendly Hello Set making sure it will fit in the punch out when punched out with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. Mount the sentiment on an appropriate size block. If using a stamp from the Friendly Hello Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Ink up the sentiment with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it it in the center of one end of the horizontal white strip leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Rub the Sponge Dauber across the open Fresh Freesia Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub color onto the edges of the sentiment punch out. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the sentiment punch out with colored edges to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower left corner of the flower rectangle cut out and is about 1/2" from the left and bottom edges.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle as shown on the upper right corner of the sentiment punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Seaside Spray (grayish) pearl from a sheet of Pastel Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the lower right corner of the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 Fresh Freesia jewels from a sheet of 2021-2023 In Color Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a row on either side of the pearl in the lower right corner of the card front.
